Craven Connection Winter Timetable
Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire have announced details of the winter timetable on Craven Connection buses 580 and 581, which will start on 3rd October 2015.
Most buses will continue unchanged on Mondays to Saturdays, but the seasonal Sunday service finishes on 27th September.
On Mondays to Saturdays the 1655 bus from Kirkby Lonsdale will terminate at Settle, so the last bus from Settle to Skipton will be at 1700 on Mondays to Fridays and 1530 on Saturdays. The last bus from Skipton on Mondays to Saturdays will be at 1745.
On Saturdays the 0945 and 1545 buses from Skipton to Settle will run instead to Malham (as service 75), and the 1030 and 1630 buses from Settle to Skipton will be replaced by buses at the same times from Malham to Skipton.
There will also be some other minor changes - full details of the new timetable are available here.
Craven Connection Fare Offers
New fare offers have been introduced on Craven Connection buses 580 (Skipton - Settle) and 581 (Settle - Ingleton - Kirkby Lonsdale)
- a day ticket offering unlimited travel on these services is now available for £10
- a 2-day ticket offering unlimited travel on these services is now available for £15
- these services are now part of the One Way £1 ticket scheme for young people. Young people aged up to 19 (with appropriate ID) travel for just £1 per journey, after 5pm and all day at weekends and during school holidays.
Improved Bus Service between Skipton, Airedale Hospital and Keighley
There will be a more frequent timetable on service 66 between Keighley, Airedale Hospital and Skipton on Monday to Saturday daytimes from 30th August 2015, with buses running every 20 minutes. The timetable will be more reliable too, with more time built in at both terminal points to ensure a prompt departure.
All buses will run as the 66 - there will no longer be a different 66A route on evenings and Sundays, with all buses running direct along Skipton Road, stopping on the main road outside Airedale Hospital.
On Monday to Saturday new last departures will leave Keighley at 2300 and Skipton at 2340.
The new timetable can be downloaded here (PDF file). This new timetable replaces the information in our South West Dales Travel Guide.
We’d love to hear from you at email@example.com, and we will contact you with details of the next meeting, probably in Settle, in Spring 2016. In the meantime, make sure you use the new bus service whenever you possibly can, and encourage family and friends to also do so. That is the only way we will keep our local bus and train services.
